RANGPUR, May 27, 2020 (BSS) – Two passengers of a battery-run auto-rickshaw were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Ranirbandar Bazar point in Chirirbandar upazila of Dinajpur district on Tuesday night.
“The accident occurred when a battery-run auto-rickshaw hit a standing trolley at the point amid inclement weather and darkness at 10.30 pm on Tuesday,” Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Doshmile Highway Police Station GM Shamsur Noor told BSS today.
Passengers of the auto-rickshaw Abdus Salehin, 16, of village Chalkgobind and Azgar Ali, 50, of village Chompatoli Bazar in Chirirbandar upazila of Dinajpur were killed on the spot.
Three other passengers of the badly damaged auto-rickshaw were injured in the accident and rushed to a hospital.
“A case was filed in this connection with Chirirbandar Police Station today,” OC Shamsur Noor added.
