DHAKA, May 23, 2020 (BSS)- The online platform ‘Food for Nation’ has been
launched to enable marginal farmers to get fair prices as well as consumers
to get the required food-grains and agricultural products as per their demand
easily within a short time and at the right price.
Aiming to maintain food supply chain in case of emergency in the country,
Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak today inaugurated this government
service portal platform(web site :foodfornation.gov.bd) from the conference
room of the Ministry of Agriculture here via ‘Zoom’ video conferencing, a
press release said.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division
Zunaid Ahmed Palak presided over the function.
It is the first open agricultural products platform in Bangladesh.
Farmers, marketers, storekeepers and institutional consumers will get the
opportunity to verify prices and quality of the product across the country
and have direct commercial communication on the platform through the
countrywide network of ‘Ek Shop’.
