One more cop died from coronavirus in city
DHAKA, May 21, 2020 (BSS) – Another police personal died from coronavirus in the city today. With the latest death toll, a total of 11 policemen have so far died from the virus. The deceased was identified as Al Mamunur Rashid, 43, a Nayek of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). He hailed from Laxmipur district.
Md Sohel Rana, Assistant Inspector General of (AIG-Media) Police at the Police Headquarters, issued a press release in this regard.
He said Inspector General of Police Dr Benazir Ahmed expressed deep shock at the death of Nayek Al Mamunur Rashid.
Mamunur Rashid was buried at his family graveyard in presence of district police officers, he said.
