18 drug addicts penalized in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, June 21, 2018 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 18 persons on charge of their drug-addiction here today.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Hossenigonj area under Rajpara Police Station in the city and arrested them red-handed.
The team members also seized 112 grams of ganja and some other drugs-taking materials from their possessions.
Subsequently, the arrested persons were produced before a mobile court.
After examining the circumstantial evidences, the court sentenced seven persons to one year and eight others to six months jail without labour.
The rest three were fined Taka 5,000 each.
