DHAKA, June 21, 2018 (BSS)- The Ministry of Science and Technology today signed the “Annual Performance Agreement” (APA) for 2018-19 fiscal with its eight subordinate bodies aimed at escalating government’s work and enhancing accountability and transparency.
Science and Technology Secretary Md Anowar Hossain and heads of eight subordinate bodies signed the agreement on behalf of the respective institutions at a function at the ministry conference room, said a press release here.
Science and Technology Minister Yeafesh Osman addressed the function as the chief guest.
The subordinate bodies are Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, Bangladesh National Scientific and Technical Documentation Centre, National Museum of Science and Technology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novotheatre, National Institute of Biotechnology, Bangladesh National Scientific Technical Documentation Center and Bangladesh Oceanographic Research Institute (BORI).
Addressing the function, Yeafesh Osman said the Annual Performance Agreement is a dynamic initiative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He said the activities of annual performance of government organizations have become more expedited through the agreement and the percentage of the performance and transparency of those organizations have increased.
