Jabbar mourns Anisuzzaman’s death
DHAKA, May 14, 2020 (BSS) – Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar today expressed deep shock at the death of eminent educationist and National Professor Dr Anisuzzaman.
In a condolence message, he said Professor Anisuzzaman made a great contribution in the country’s education, literature and research.
The nation will always remember his contributions with deep respect, said Jabbar.
Recalling his memories as a student of Bangla literature, Mustafa Jabbar said the irreparable loss created at the sad demise of Anisuzzaman will never be filled.
The minister also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Anisuzzaman died of old age complications at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) here while undergoing treatment.
He breathed his last at the hospital around 4:55 pm at the age of 83, CMH sources said.
