SANGSAD BHABAN, June 20, 2018 (BSS) – The government has placed the
National Planning and Development Academy Bill, 2018 at the Jatiya Sangsad
with a view to operate the national training academy under a legal frame to create
skilled manpower for implementing development plan.
Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal placed the bill in the house today with
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury in the chair.
Currently, the National Planning and Development Academy under the Ministry
of the Planning is being administered through the government education and
training institution (amendment) ordinance-1979 which need to be brought under
a time befitting legal frame, he added.
In 1980 the government has established the National Planning and Development
Academy for increasing professional know-how to the employees working at
different government, semi-government and autonomous organizations across the
country.
The planning minister urged the house to send the bill to the parliamentary
standing committee to complete further scrutiny within 15 days.
