NARSINGDI June 20, 2018 (BSS) – Two football players were killed and 15
injured as a open carrier(trolley) fell into a roadside ditch at Khakchar
village in Polashtoli union under Raipura upazila at about 9 am today.
Police said the accident occurred as a trolley carrying local football
players plunged into the roadside ditch as the driver lost control over the
steering leaving two players dead on the spot and another 15 injured.
The two serious injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and
others at local health complex.
The dead were identified as Mamun Buyain, 16, son of late Sultan Buyain
and Robiul, 14, son of Mofij Uddin, both are inhabitants of Tokipura village
of Polashtoli union.
Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital
morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed with Raipura Thana police.
