Senior journalist Moinul Alam passes away
CHATTOGRAM, June 19, 2018 (BSS)- Moinul Alam, a senior journalist and former Bureau Chief of the Daily Ittefaq, died of old-age complications at a hospital in Toronto, Canada on Monday.
He was 81, family and Chattogram Press Club (CPC) sources said here tonight. Alam, one of the founders of CPC, left behind his three daughters, a son, a large number of colleagues, relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
He will be buried at Toronto after a Namaz-e-Janaza tonight.
In separate condolence messages, President of Chattogram Union of Journalists’ (CUJ) Nazim Uddin Shyamol, its General Secretary Hasan Ferdouse, Chattogram Press Club President Kalim Sarwar and General Secretary Shuklal Das, Vice President of BFUJ Shahidul Alam, Joint Secretary General Tapan Chakrabarty, former CUJ Presidents Reaz Haider Chowdhury and Mustaq Ahmed, BFUJ Executive Members- Asif Siraz and Nowsher Ali Khan condoled the death of journalist Moinul Alam.
They also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
