CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 19, 2018 (BSS)- Three active members of the banned Islamic militant outfit Jamaatul Mujahidin Bangladesh (JMB) were arrested in two special drives by the elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 this afternoon.
The arrested persons are Md. Rahmat Ali, 47, son of late Abdul Gofur of Chakla Miapara under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district, Md. Jahangir Alam, 43, son of Md. Mofiz Uddin of Par Eklaspur Biswaspara and Md. Moazzem Hossain, 30, son of Md. Hazrat Ali of Chakla Kamartekpara both under Shibganj upazila of the district.
RAB said, acting on special detective information, RAB conducted a drive at Durgapur Purbopara area in sadar upazila at around 1:15 pm and arrested Rahmat.
Later, RAB raided at Chakla area in Shibganj upazila and arrested Jahangir and Moazzem. During primary interrogation, they admitted that they were active members of JMB, the sources added.
