CORONA-RMCH-QUARANTINE (with picture)
42 RMCH personnel, including 19 doctors, sent to quarantine
RAJSHAHI, April 21, 2020 (BSS)- Around 42 medical personnel, including 19
doctors, of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) were sent to quarantine
today as one of its patients tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday for the first
time.
RMCH Deputy Director Dr Saiful Ferdous told BSS that the doctors will
remain in institutional quarantine at Rajshahi Parjatan Motel while others
will remain in both institutional and home quarantine.
The RMCH authorities have instructed collection of all of their samples
within the next two days for testing. Besides, the Ward No. 42, where the
patient was undergoing treatment, was kept on lockdown, Dr Ferdous added.
He also said the patient has been transferred to Corona Ward in Infectious
Disease Hospital after the coronavirus was detected in his sample here on
Monday.
