First coronavirus patient detected in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, April 20, 2020 (BSS) – A 30-year-old man has been tested positive for coronavirus in Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila.
Md. Alamgir Hossain, Upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of Chapainawabganj Sadar confirmed this.
The man hailed from Charmohonpur Dakkhinpara under Chapainawabganj municipality and came from Narayanganj recently, the UNO said.
When contacted, Civil Surgeon of Chapainawabganj Dr Jahid Nazrul Chowdhury said the man’s sample was collected on April 25 and was sent to Covid-19 lab in Rajshahi for testing. The report reached at 6:45 pm today.
He has been kept in home quarantine under the supervision of Chapainawabganj civil surgeon’s office, he added.
