Palak launches COVID-19 tracker
DHAKA, April 20, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today launched a digital tracker to oversee overall coronavirus situation inside and outside the country.
The tracker made by ICT Division has been named Covid-19 Tracker, and it will be available on covid19tracker.gov.bd website, an official release said.
By using the tracker, a person can get the latest and reliable information and data about the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, with graphs. The information will be available in Bangla to help the visitor get the data easily.
This tracker collects information about Covid-19 transmission from reliable and renowned international portals or systems, and a visitor can get those without any kind of log in or sign up. Apart from updated data and information, people can see tabular structure in the tracker system and use those data through application programming interface (API), which is connected with national e-service.
The tracker is getting updated in every 5 to 10 minutes, with inputs from local sources and international sources such as worldometers.info and Johns Hopkins University.
