KHULNA, June 15, 2018 (BSS) – The industrial city of Khulna is witnessing a brisk sale of electronic goods, including refrigerators and televisions, ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest great festival of the Muslims.
Manufacturers and importers have beefed up their number of products offering instant cash card discounts and gifts keeping in mind the customers’ extra demand for electronic goods during the Eid festival.
Nazmus Sakib, manager of Sony-Rangs Electronics Ltd at KDA Avenue in the city told BSS that every day they are selling both local and foreign brand electronic goods with offers of various discounts in prices.
He also said, “We are selling mostly LED televisions, refrigerators and air conditions as well as home appliances such as pressure cooker, curry cooker, washing machine, blunder machine, food processor, induction oven and clothe dryer.”
Shirina Akter, manager of LG Butterfly show room at Lower Jessore Road in the city, told BSS that quality and cost-effectiveness are the main attractions for the huge presence of customers at their showroom.
“Most of the customers are showing keen interest in LED televisions and refrigerators due to six-month zero installment and 12-month replacement warrantee,” she said.
While visiting a number of showrooms of electronic goods in the City’s KDA Avenue area on Thursday, this reporter found that customers are purchasing electronic goods both local and foreign brands.
Shakina Begum, associate professor of Govt B L College and a resident of city’s Iqbal Nagar area, expressed her satisfaction after purchasing a Sony Android brand 50-inch LED television.
“It was my dream since long that I will buy a LED TV. It has been possible for me as the government enhanced our salary,” she added.
