DHAKA, March 28, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Industries Kamal
Ahmed Mojumder today said the government has taken different
initiatives to give food and financial supports to the wage-earners
and low-income people as the coronavirus outbreak-triggered ‘stay at
home’ rule has almost stopped their income.
“None will remain without food due to lack of work as the government
is providing food and financial supports to the wage-earners and low-income
people,” he said while distributing daily necessaries and
sanitizers among the poor at Mirpur area in the city, said a press
release .
Around 1,000 day laborers and destitute people each received 10 kg
rice, 2 kg pulse, 2 kg potato, one piece of soap and a tube of hand
sanitizer.
