Major Eid jamaats in Rajshahi city
RAJSHAHI, June 15, 2018 (BSS)- Main Eid Jamaat (congregation) in the
divisional city Rajshahi will be held on Shah Mukhdum Central Eidgah Moidan
at 8 am. Muhtamim of Jameya Islamia Shahmukhdum Maulana Shahadat Ali will
conduct the prayer.
The second largest ones will be held at Shaheb Bazar Zero point and
Tikapara Eidgah at the same time.
Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) authorities have has prepared 25 Eidgah
moidan including the central Eidgah for holding the Eid congregation
successfully.
Some other main Eid jamaats will be held on Tikapara Eidgah Moidan,
Rajshahi Court Eidgah, Rajshahi Stadium, Shalbagan Eidgah, Rajshahi
University, New Market Jame Mosque, Police Line Math, Upashahar Eidgah Moidan
and Rajarhata Jame Mosque.
According to RCC sources, divisional office of Islamic Foundation and Shah
Mukhdum Darga Trust, Rajshahi city’s first Eid-congregation will be held at
Nawdapara Mango Crossing Ahle Hadith Math at 7.30 am.
Afterwards, other Eid-jamaat will be held at different points from 7.30 am
to 8.30 am.
Meanwhile, the RCC, district administration and all other authorities
concerned have chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the holy Eid-ul-
Fitr, the largest religious festival for the Muslims, in the city with due
fervor, joy and enthusiasm.
The sources concerned said preparations are almost complete under the
auspices of all the authorities concerned.
The city corporation will decorate all the main city roads and islands
with national flags and banners inscribed with “Eid-Mubarak” in Bangla and
Arabic.
Marking the celebration, special diets will be served to the inmates of
different hospitals, jails and Government Shishu Sadan.
Meanwhile, a three-tier security arrangement has been adopted for the
Rajshahi city and its adjacent areas for peaceful celebration of the Eid-ul-
Fitr. According to sources with Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) and
district police, the additional security measures will be in place a day
ahead of Eid and continue for next three days.
In addition to deployment of additional forces, detective vigilance was
intensified at all the shopping malls and busiest market points.
All the entry points of the city like Katakhali, Naodapara and Kasiadanga
were brought under tight security measures.
