RAJSHAHI, Mar 25, 2020 (BSS) – The district police here today formed ‘special response team’ aimed at containing the coronavirus (COVID-19)
outbreak in the district.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Muhammad Shahidullah said the 30-member
police team will play a vital role towards ensuring home quarantine of all
the expatriates residing in the district through quick response.
An Additional Superintendent of Police will observe and monitor their
activities.
SP Shahidullah said the team members were briefed about their activities to
fight the virus spread elaborately. They will respond instantly to any
information about positive coronavirus patients in any area of the district.
As a whole, they will work with close coordination with the local civil
administration and health officials for the welfare of the public in general,
he added.
