President hosts doa mahfil on Bangabandhu’s birth centenary

DHAKA, March 17, 2020 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid this evening hosted a doa mahfil at the Gallery Hall of Bangabhaban on the occasion of ‘Mujib Year’, the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Pesh Imam of Bangabhaban Jam-e-Mosque Maulana Saiful Kabir conducted munajat after the milad mahfil.

Munajat was offered for eternal peace of the Father of the Nation and other patriotic individuals, who had to embrace martyrdom on the fateful night of August 15 and in different democratic movements, including in the 1971 Liberation War and Language Movement in 1952.

Besides, doa was offered seeking divine blessings for peace and prosperity of the country, welfare of the people and greater unity of the Muslim Ummah across the world.

Doa was also offered for the long life with sound health of the President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Special doa was offered for the victims of the coronavirus and seeking mercy (Rahmat) of the Almighty Allah so that Bangladesh as well as world people remain safe from the further outbreak of the deadly coronavirus.

Secretaries concerned to the President and senior civil and military officials of the Bangabhaban attended the doa mahfil.
