PM mourns death of Gias Uddin
DHAKA, March 12, 2020 (BSS) – Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of freedom fighter AHM Gias Uddin, president of Matlab Dakhin Upazila of Chandpur and upazila parishad chairman.
In a condolence message, the premier prayed for eternal peace of departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family, said a party press release.
Gias Uddin is survived by his wife and two sons. He died today at the age of 67.
In separate message, Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also expressed deep sorrow at the death of Gias Uddin.
