ICT division draws programmes marking ‘Mujib Year’

DHAKA, Mar 2, 2020 (BSS) – Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division has chalked out comprehensive programmes marking the ‘Mujib Year’ on the occasion of birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The programmes were mapped out today at a meeting of the ICT Division with State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak in the chair, said a press release.

ICT Division Senior Secretary NM Zeaul Alam and other senior officials concerned attended the meeting, the release said.

Marking the ‘Mujib Year’, the ICT Division will hand over 100 laptops to the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs for distributing among the poor and meritorious students at Tungipara in Gopalganj on the occasion of the National Children’s Day on March 17.

The division will hold a rally with the entrepreneurs of the Union Digital Center (UDC) on the occasion of the 10th founding anniversary of the UDC on November 11.

The yearlong programmes also include launching audio books on Bangabandhu’s autobiography and website, selecting logos, setting up Bangabandhu online portal and digital display, making 10 minute-long six animated films, ‘Mujib Graphics Novel Animation’ based on Bangabandhu’s autobiography, a full mobile apps of Mujib Year’s website, android and IOS apps for the book “Mujib Amar Pita” written by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and virtual reality (VR) contents on Dhanmondi 32 no house and setting up VR screening kiosks at five focal points.

Making digital contents on different important incidents, including Bangabandhu’s life and works, 7th March speech, will be made for screening at the proposed archive, organizing short film and online quiz competition on Bangabandhu will feature the yearlong celebration of the ‘Mujib Year’.
