DHAKA, June 11, 2018 (BSS) – Department of Shipping today issued a set of
directives to ensure security for lives and properties of home-goers of naval
routes during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr and rainy season.
The directives include operating the vessels with efficient masters and
drivers, cancellation of trip in inclement weather, not carrying extra
passengers and goods beyond the capacity of vessels, proceeding vessels to
safe zone in stormy weather, not plying waterway transport without having
legal documents and not travelling as extra a passenger or riding on roof,
