President, PM greet people on Lailatul Qadr
DHAKA, June 11, 2018 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina today greeted the countrymen and Muslims across the world on
the occasion of holy Lailatul Qadr to be observed tomorrow.
In separate messages, they prayed for continued peace, progress and
prosperity of the country, the whole world and the Muslim Ummah.
In his message, President Hamid said the holy Lailatul Qadr is superior
to a thousand nights. “This night is very sacred and full of virtues for the
mankind. Allah has revealed the holy Quran on this night,” he said.
“On this night, Almighty Allah opens up His store of blessings and
forgiveness. Therefore, the significance of this glorified night is immense,”
he said.
Noting that Islam is the religion of peace and welfare, the President said
Almighty Allah would fill everybody’s life with His unlimited blessings on
this night.
He prayed for forgiveness, blessing, progress and welfare of all on the
occasion.
In her message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina termed the Lailatul Qadr as
a glorified night of Ramadan and mentioned that the holy Quran was revealed
on this night to show the mankind the path of emancipation.
“I pray to Almighty Allah for continued progress, peace and welfare of
our beloved motherland and the Muslim Ummah on this holy night,” she added.
