RFL launches ‘Bangla in 68 years’ campaign

DHAKA, Feb 18, 2020 (BSS) – RFL Group, a local business conglomerate, today launched an awareness campaign “Bangla in 68 years” on the occasion of the International Mother Language Day.

The campaign aims to create awareness among people regarding unnecessary use of different words from foreign languages with unpleasant pronunciations and expressions in Bangla and encourage them to speak in proper Bangla.

R N Paul, Managing Director of RFL Group, introduced the campaign at a press conference held at Premier Plaza in city’s Badda area, said a press release.

He said “Our achievement of Mother Language is going to be stepped in 68 years but many of us are not speaking in Bangla properly for 68 seconds without mixing words from foreign languages . . . we have taken this initiative to encourage people, especially young generation, to speak in Bangla properly.”

Rashed Ul Alam, Head of Marketing of Durable Plastic, said “We have also arranged an online competition under the campaign and anyone can join here by sending his or her video with 68 second speech in Bangla on rflplastics.com/68-r-banglawebsite.”

Interested participant could send their speech by selecting any of these four topics -Bangla language, book fair, 21st February and language movement.

RFL would award 10 people among the participants.

Zeaul Haque, Assistant General Manager (Public Relations) of PRAN-RFL Group and Esfaquel Hoque, Senior Brand Manager of Durable Plastic, among others, were also present.
