KHULNA, Feb 17, 2020 (BSS) – The Ekushe Book Fair Khulna- 2020 is buzzing with large number of book wormers and sales of books on different genres of literatures and other branches of knowledge are on the high everyday .
The ongoing fair at Khulna Public Library premises at Boyra under
Khalishpur Police Station got jam packed with book lovers of all ages
particularly budding writers , poets , students and children.
On the 16th day of fair (Sunday) Gangchil Shahittya Parishad, Sabuj Patar
Deshe and Ma Sangskritik Academy performed a colourful cultural presentations.
On the 17th day, today cultural functions of the fair started with
presentation of Port High School on the Language Movement where Daulatpur
Shahittya Parishad finally BL College theater presented impressive
performances.
A total of 76 stalls, including Bangabandhu Research Foundation,
Manabadhikar Prokashani, Sabbyasachi stall, Gangchil Prokashony, Bak Abritty
Onushilon Chakra are offering new books of local poets and litterateurs.
Books on poetry , recitation, story, novel, essay, science fiction are
widely being sold in the fair.
Stringent security measures with closed circuit camera surveillance and
deployment of law and enforcers ensured holding of peaceful book fair .
