DHAKA, Feb 16, 2020 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today said there is a particular law for release from jail on parole and it needs to be exercised for BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia also.
“It is clearly in writing how and where applications have to be submitted for release on parole. If we want to handle the matter professionally, we have to follow legal procedure. So, the government can only consider the matter, if they submit this application for parole accordingly,” he said these while talking to the newsmen at Hotel Sonargaon.
The minister earlier unveiled cover of a legal manual for civil society agencies of the country at a function organized by International Center for Not-For-Profit Law (ICNL).
Conducted by Sharmin Khan, the function was addressed by US Ambassador in Dhaka Earl R Miller and senior governance adviser of DFID in Bangladesh Aislin Baker as special guests, among others.
