SANGSAD BHABAN, June 11, 2018 (BSS) – Law enforcement agencies
including narcotics department filed 1,06,536 cases against
1,32,883 drug peddlers on charge of drug abuse in 2017.
“Police, RAB, BGB, Coast Guard and all law enforcement
agencies filed 27,340 cases and arrested 35,112 accused till
March 2018,” Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told this in
the Jatiya Sangsad today.
Replying to a question from treasury bench member Begum Pinu
Khan, he said that district administration across the country
is also providing cooperation to bring illegal drug abuse
under control.
