DHAKA, Aug. 9, 2017 (BSS)- Jamalpur District Sports Association (DSA) take on Noagaon DSA in final of the 4th Walton National Youth Women’s Handball scheduled to be held tomorrow (Thursday) at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in the city.
The match kicks off at 11 am. State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr. Biren Sikder MP is expected to be present in the final as chief guest and distribute the prizes among the winners.
Walton Group operative director head of games and sports FM Iqbal Bin Anwar will be present as special guest.
Bangladesh Handball Federation president AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul will preside over the closing ceremony
Earlier, on way to the final Monday last, Jamalpur DSA edged past Gopalganj DSA by 23-22 goals in the keenly contested first semi-final while Noagaon DSA defeated Panchagarh DSA by 25-8 goals in the second semis. Meanwhile, Panchagarh DSA finished third in the competition beating Gopalnganj DSA by 17-8 goals in the third place-deciding match held on Tuesday. A total of twelve teams, split into four groups, are taking part in the meet, sponsored by Walton and organized by Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF).
