Taposh to begin works soon after taking charge

DHAKA, Feb 9, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka South City Corporation newly elected Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said today he will begin work soon after taking the charge as mayor.

“I have taken some master plans. The present mayor will remain on charge till May. Dengue outbreak will be launch soon after taking of my charge as mayor. I will begin my works soon after taking the charge”, he told journalists.

He said this after placing wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi-32.

Taposh said, voter’s presence was comparatively less during the polls due to the SSC examination, intense cold and deficiency of mass transport and some people also went their home at that time. But the election was held in a free and fair manner, he added.

Taposh requested the present mayor to take necessary measures before the deadly Dengue outbreaks in the city.

Awami League (AL) Advisory Council Member Amir Hossain Amu, Mukul Bose, Workers Party of Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon, AL leader Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Dr Mostafa Kamal Mohiuddin, Lawmaker Haji Mohammad Selim, AL organizing secretary Advocate Afzal Hossain and former AL general secretary of Dhaka north Shah-e-Alam Murad, among others, were present on the occasion.
