Tk 1002cr project to save Moulvibazar from flood: Zaheed
MOULVIBAZAR, Feb 9, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Water Resources Zaheed Farooque said today the work of a government project involving Taka 1002 crore will begin soon to protect the entire district and town from flood.
He told journalists after visiting the flood control embankment on the Manu River in Kulaura upazila of the district.
The state minister said after implementation of the project, the people of the district will not be affected by flood. He sought people’s support in implementation of the project.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Nazia Shirin, Superintendent of Police (SP) Faruk Ahmed, Executive Engineer of Water Development Board Ranendra Chakrabarty and Panel Mayor of the Moulvibazar Faisal Ahmed, among others, were present on the occasion.
