DHAKA, Feb 6, 2020 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina extended her heartiest congratulation to the Bangladesh U19 cricket team for creating history by qualifying for the final of ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup for the first time when they beat New Zealand by six wickets at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom in South Africa tonight.
“My heartiest congratulations to all of you (cricket team). I am very happy that you have brought the honour to the country,” she said in a message of greeting from the Italian city Milan as she is now on a four-day official visit to Italy at the invitation of her Italian counterpart Giuseppe Conte.
The premier went to Italy on February 4 and is expected to return home on February 8.
