DUCSU to establish Bangabandhu corner in DU halls
DHAKA, Jan 18, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka University Central Students’ Union
(DUCSU) will establish ‘Bangabandhu Corner’ inside all the dormitories,
marking the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman.
The corner will contain shelves with 50 books on Bangabandhu’s life and
works and history of Liberation War, said a press release today.
Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Dr Akhtaruzzaman will inaugurate the
corners of 18 halls at a time on January 23 through video conference from a
function at Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium of Social Science Faculty,
said Saad Bin Kader Chowdhury, Liberation War Affairs Secretary of DUCSU.
Presidium Member of Awami League (AL) Abdur Rahman will attend the
programme as the chief guest while historian Dr Syed Anwar Husain as special
guest.
