36, including drug traders held in Dinajpur
DINAJPUR, June 8, 2018 (BSS)- Police, in special drives arrested 36 persons
including 13 drug traders from different areas of the district in last 12-
hour ending at 8am this morning.
Police also seized 108 bottles of Phensidyl and 300 pieces of Yaba tablets
during the drives.
Police said they were picked up from different areas of the district on
different charges.
During the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested 13 persons including 10
drug traders, Biral Thana police arrested one person, Birampur Thana police
arrested two persons, Kaharole Thana police arrested two persons, Phulbari
Thana police arrested two persons, Birganj Thana police arrested three
persons, Nawabganj Thana police arrested three persons, Parbatipur Thana
police arrested one person, Khansama Thana police arrested two persons,
Bochaganj Thana police arrested two persons, Ghoraghat Thana police arrested
two persons and Hakimpur Thana police arrested three drug traders with 300
pieces of Yaba tablets and 108 bottles of Phensidyl from Hili Churipotti area
in the upazila around 6am .
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with
different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.
The arrested persons were sent to jail.
