BD-India relations very deep: Aninda

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 17, 2020 (BSS)- Assistant High Commissioner of India in Chattogram Aninda Banerjee today said the relations between Bangladesh and India is deeply interwoven, terming Bangladesh as a real friend of India.

He was addressing as chief guest the 12th Children Juvenile Rally and prize distribution ceremony of Maizbhandari Academy at Nasirabad High school ground this morning.

Maizbandari Academy arranged this children juvenile programs on the occasion of 114th Urs of Hazral Moulana Shah Sufi Syed Ahmedullah Maizbandari and 10-day long Urs of Syed Ziaul Hoque Maizbandari.

Indian diplomat said during the Liberation War of Bangladesh, Indian armed forces members sacrificed their lives for Independence of Bangladesh.

He also said during last few decades, Bangladesh has advanced tremendously in economic sector.

Referring to prevailing communal harmony in Bangladesh, he said Muslims, Hindus and people of other religions are residing in Bangladesh peacefully.

Acting secretary of the Trust Prof. AYM Jafar presided over the programs.

General secretary of Chattogram University Teacher Association (CUTA) Prof. Anjan Kumar Chowdhry formally opened the program.

BRTC chairman Ehsane Elahi and Copyright Registrar Jafar Raja Chowdhury attended it as special guests.
