GAIBANDHA, Jan 14, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangshad, Sadar upazila command, distributed blankets to the inmates of Kashemul Ulum Nurani Hafizia Etimkhana at Chalkmamrozpur under Kholahati union of Sadar upazila today to mitigate their sufferings caused by cold wave.
On the occasion, a blankets distribution function was held on the premises of the orphanagein the morning around 10 am with its president Alhaz Abul Kashem Sarker in the chair.
Freedom fighter Ali Akbar Miah, former commander of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangshad, upazila command, formally distributed the blankets to the orphans as the chief guest and FF Moynul Islam Raza, and senior journalist Sarker Mohammad Shahiduzzaman were present at the event as the special guests.
Speaking on the occasion, FF Ali Akbar Miah said as part of the social corporate responsibility the upazila command of the sangshad stood beside the orphans to lessen their sorrows due to severe cold wave.
Social workers Samiul Islam Piplu, Abdul Khaleque, FFs Abdul Hai and Nurul Amin, and local elite were present on the occasion.
