Education sector entails rise of literacy: Mannan
SUNAMGANJ, Jan 5, 2020 (BSS) – Indicating a benefit-deriving progress in the education sector, Planning Minister MA Mannan today said the achievements entailed the rise of literacy rate and improvement of quality education.
Terming the present government as an education friendly one, the minister said the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is equipping Bangladesh with remarkable successes beyond expectations.
The multi-faceted programmes undertaken for the education sector, he said, are continuously contributing to the sector, enabling people to face the challenges ahead.
The planning minister was addressing as chief guest a seminar organized by Sunamganj District Administration at Sunamganj Zila Stadium.
The rate of illiteracy is gradually being replaced by the rate of literacy, while quality of education has made its mark in the country’s education landscape, the minister said.
Members of Parliament- Dr. Joya Sengupta, Mohibur Rahman Manik, Moazzem Hossain Raton and Pir Fazlur Rahman- also spoke at the event.
