DHAKA, Jan 5, 2020 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid
Maleque today said help centres titled “Bangabandhu Corner” would be set up
at every government hospital with a view to ensuring health services and
providing essential information.
“Bangabandhu Corner will be set up at every government hospital for
ensuring proper health services and providing information as per patients’
requirements to mark the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” he said.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion on work plan to
celebrate Bangabandhu’s birth centenary to be celebrated this year, said a
press release.
The meeting also informed a sapling would be plant at every government
hospital marking the year.
Besides, cleaning activities and emergency department would be opened at
several hospitals.
Secretary (health service) of the health ministry Asadul Islam presided
over the meeting while secretary (Education) M Ali Nur, Additional Secretary
Suprio Kumer Kundu, Habibur Rahman Khan and Director General of health
services Prof Abul Kalam Azad were present, among others.
