IM Fahad shares lead after 2nd round of GM Chess
DHAKA, Jan 1, 2020, (BSS)- IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman won against Maxim Lugovskoy of Russia in the second round game of EKA IIFL Investment Managers 5th International Grand Master Chess tournament now is being held in Mumbai, India.
The second round games were held on Tuesday last, IM Fahad played with white pieces and won against GM Maxim.
IM Fahad is jointly leading the points table with maximum two points along with other 15 players after second round games.
GM Ziaur Rahman bagged 1.5 points and Tahsin Tajwar Zia earned 0.5 point.
In second round GM Zia beat Manish Kumar of India and Tahsin lost to IM Kunguvel Ponnuswamy of India.
Meanwhile, Marzouq Chowdhury and Azher Hossain earned one point each after the third round games of EKA IIFL Investment Managers 5th Mumbai Junior Under-13 FIDE Rating Chess tournament.
