KAIKAUS-PRINCIPAL-SECRETARY
Govt appoints Ahmad Kaikaus as principal secretary
DHAKA, Dec 29, 2019 (BSS)-Senior Secretary of Power Division Dr Ahmad Kaikaus has been made the principal secretary to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The public administration ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard today. This order will take immediate effect.
Ahmed Kaikaus will replace Md Nojibur Rahman.
Kaikaus has been working at the Power Division as senior secretary since 2017.
Dr. Kaikaus received his Master of Arts degree in Development Economics from the Center for Development Economics, Williams College, Massachusetts, USA, and PhD in Public Policy and Political Economy from the University of Texas at Dallas, Texas, USA.
He joined the Administration Cadre of Bangladesh Civil Service on January 21, 1986. He has worked at different levels of field administration such as Assistant Commissioner, Upazila Magistrate, and Upazila Nirbahi Officer.
He also worked on deputation in several organizations that include Directorate of Accommodation, Department of Narcotics Control and Bangladesh Services Limited.
Kaikaus also worked as part-time faculty at Collin County Community College in Texas, USA and at the American International University, Bangladesh. He regularly attends as guest speaker at the Public Administration Training Centre, Bangladesh Civil Service Academy, and Dhaka University.
