DHAKA, Dec 26, 2019 (BSS) – All branches of scheduled banks under Dhaka north and south city corporations will remain open on December 27-28 so that candidates willing to contest the upcoming DSCC and DNCC elections can deposit money.
“Scheduled banks have been asked to keep their branches open under the DNCC and DSCC so that candidates can deposit money for submission of nomination papers,” said Bangladesh Bank in a circular today.
The elections to Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will be held on January 30, according to the Election Commission (EC).
The last date for submitting nomination papers is December 31 and the last date for withdrawal of candidacy is January 9. The EC will scrutinise nomination papers on January 2.
