DHAKA, Aug 3, 2017 (BSS) – LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain today said everyone has to be involved in mainstream development to make a hunger-free Bangladesh.
“Everybody should be engaged in the mainstream of development to free Bangladesh from hunger and to achieve Sustainable Development Goals…For this, we need skilled manpower,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at the 70th board meeting of Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD) held in CIRDAP auditorium here.
Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, State Minister for Rural Development and Cooperatives Md Mashiur Rahman Ranga, Acting Secretary of Rural Development and Cooperatives Division Mafruha Sultana, Director General of BARD Muhammad Moududur Rashid Safdar, and high officials of the ministry, among others, were present.
Mosharraf asked the BARD officials to work for development of around 57 lakh marginal people and around two crore people of haor region.
