DHAKA, Dec 17, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of her Military Secretary Major General Mia Mohammad Zainul Abedin.
In a condolence message, the prime minister said Major General Zainul Abedin performed his duty with utmost honesty and integrity.
“He (Abedin) worked very competently while holding different important posts of the state during his long career,” she said.
“Maj Gen Abedin’s patriotism and dutifulness will keep him remembered among us,” she added.
The prime minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Major General Zainul Abedin passed away at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore at 5:13 pm local time, an ISPR release said.
