PM releases stamp on Victory Day
DHAKA, Dec 16, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today released a
commemorative postage stamp, a first-day cover and a data card, marking the
49th Victory Day.
The premier released the stamp and the first-day cover of Taka 10 and the
data card of Taka 5 at her official Ganabhaban residence here this afternoon.
A special canceller was used on the occasion.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Post and
Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar, Post and Telecommunication
Secretary Nur-ur-Rahman and Director General of Bangladesh Post Office
Sudhangshu Shekhar Bhadra were present on the occasion, among others.
The sale of stamp, first-day cover and data card will start from Philatelic
Bureau of Dhaka GPO today and those will be available at other GPOs and head
post offices across the country later.
There is also an arrangement for special canceller in four GPOs to be used
for the first-day cover.
