AL, front organizations pay tributes to Bangabandhu on Victory Day
DHAKA, Dec 16, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Awami League (AL), its front and
associate organizations paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at the portrait of the
Father of the Nation in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi
here this morning on the occasion of the 49th Victory Day.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid her homage at first at
the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Then
she stood in solemn silence there for some time as a mark of profound respect
to the memory of Bangabandhu, the architect of independence.
Flanked by senior leaders of the party, Sheikh Hasina, also the president
of Bangladesh Awami League, placed another wreath at the portrait of the
Father of the Nation as the party chief.
Awami League advisory council members Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed and
Mozaffar Hossain Poltu, General Secretary Obaidul Quader, presidium members
Matia Chowdhury, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur
Razzaque and Advocate Abdul Matin Khosru, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM
Mozammel Haque, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Joint General
Secretaries Mahbub-Ul-Alam Hanif, Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanok and Abdur
Rahman, Organizing Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, BM
Mozammel Haque and Enamul Haque Shameem, Office Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan
Golap, Forest and Environment Affairs Secretary Delwar Hossain, Science and
Technology Affairs Secretary Engineer Abdus Sabur and Deputy Office Secretary
Biplob Barua were also present.
Later, leaders and activists of Dhaka North and South units of AL, Jubo
League, Chhatra League, Chechhasebak League, Krishak League Jatiya Sramik
League, Mohila Awami League and Jubo Mahila League placed wreaths separately
at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu Memorial
Museum at Dhanmondi this morning.
