Dhaka, Kolkata to exchange delegations on V-Day programmes

DHAKA, Dec 15, 2019 (BSS) – Exchange of delegations between Bangladesh and India will mark the Victory Day of Bangladesh to renew their pledge for cementing the existing bond of friendship among them.

As part of the victory day celebration, a 36-member Bangladeshi delegation comprising freedom fighters and officials of Bangladesh armed forces led by Parliamentary Standing Committee on Liberation War Affairs Ministry Chairman Shajahan Khan left here on Saturday for Kolkata to participate all victory day programmers there at the invitation of the Indian government.

The celebration programmes in Kolkata started Saturday and will continue till December 18, a press release of Indian High Commission said here today.

Besides, a 31-member Indian delegation including 27 Indian freedom fighters and 4 officials of Indian armed forces is scheduled to come to Dhaka today at the invitation of the Bangladesh government, it added.

Both the delegations will visit different places in the respective countries during the time.
