Govt will take action if BNP tries to create chaos: Khalid

DINAJPUR, Dec 14, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury today said the government will take action if BNP wages movement aiming to create chaos in the country in the name of Begum Khaleda Zia’s bail.

“If BNP tries to wage any sorts of movement cantering Begum Khaleda Zia’s bail and create anarchy in the country, the government will take action to check it,” he said.

Khalid, also the Organising Secretary of Awami League (AL), came up with the remarks while addressing a discussion as the chief guest at Mukto Mancha at Biral upazila of the district under the arrangement of concerned upazila administration on the occasion of ‘Biral Mukto Dibosh’.

He said the country is set to observe the 100th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with utmost dedication next year. “On the eve of this event, if BNP wants to create anarchy for its chairperson’s bail, then they will be handled strictly.”

With Biral Upazila Nirbahi Officer Zinat Rahman in the chair, it was addressed, among others, by Upazila Parishad Chairman AKM Mostafizur Rahman Babu, Upazila AL President Alhaj Sabujar Siddique Sagor and General Secretary Ramakanto Roy.

Earlier, Khalid paid rich tributes to Bangabandhu’s portrait and Martyrs’ memorial by placing wreaths in the Biral upazila marking ‘Biral Mukto Dibosh’.
