National Martyrs’ Memorial ready ahead of Victory Day: Rezaul

DHAKA, Dec 13, 2019 (BSS) – With only three days left for the Victory Day celebration, the National Martyrs’ Memorial at Savar is almost ready to enable people of all walks of life to pay tributes to the best sons of the soil, who had sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country.

This was told today by Housing and Public Works Minister S M Rezaul Karim while talking to journalists after inspecting the preparatory works underway at the National Martyrs’ Memorial at Savar.

“Ahead of the Victory day, 95 percent works of National Memorial have been done so that the President, the Prime Minister and the people from all walks of life could pay glowing tributes to the best sons of the soil,” he said.

The rest of the works of preparing the memorial will be completed very soon, he added.

The minister said all incomplete works will be done as per the main Master Plan of the National Memorial.

Additional Secretaries of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works Md Aminul Islam Khan and M Yakub Ali Patwari, Chief Engineer of Public Works Department (PWD) Md Shahadat Hossain and concerned officials of the ministry were present on the occasion.
