KUSHTIA, Aug 2, 2017 (BSS) – Two minor cousins drowned in a pond at Baradi village of the district town here on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Mawa, 2, daughter of Abul Kalam and her cousin Apan, 3, son of Amin Uddin of the village.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kushtia Model Police Station Nasir Uddin said Mawa and Apan fell into the pond while playing beside it nearby the house in the morning and drowned.
Later, family members found the children floating in the pond and took them to Kushtia Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared them dead.
