DHAKA, Dec 9, 2019 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today expressed
profound shock at the death of valiant freedom fighter and Ekushey award-
winner educationist Professor Ajoy Roy.
In a condolence message, the President prayed for salvation of the
departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
President Hamid said, “Prof Ajoy Roy dedicated his life for upholding the
spirit of the war of liberation.”
Prof Ajoy, father of the slain blogger Avijit Roy, breathed his last this
afternoon while undergoing treatment at a city hospital at the age of 84.
