Abahani beat Mohammedan in premier hockey
DHAKA, June 4, 2018 (BSS)- Title aspirant Abahani Limited came from behind
to record a 3-2 goal victory over their arch-rival Mohammedan Sporting Club
Limited in the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League today at
Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium here.
In the day’s second match, Indian recruit Gurzinder Singh put Mohammedan
ahead early in the 9th minute, but their lead lasted a little as Tajuddin
Ahmed restored the parity scoring a field goal in the 10th minute.
Abahani went ahead as Roman Sarkar scored a field goal in the 20th minute,
but Gurzinder leveled the margin for Mohammedan scoring his second goal in
the 38th minute.
However, Roman Sarkar sealed Abahani’s victory scoring his second field
goal and third for the team in the 61st minute.
