ACC chief attends UNCAC meeting
DHAKA, June 04, 2018 (BSS) – Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission
(ACC) Iqbal Mahmood has attended the ninth implementation review group
meeting of United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) in Vienna,
Austria.
A five-member ACC team, headed by its chairman, took part in the review
meeting, an ACC press release said today.
During the meeting, Mahmood apprised the UN body of different measures
taken by the national anti-graft agency to check corruption in Bangladesh.
He also informed the body of different initiatives of the Commission,
including formation of corruption prevention committees, setting up integrity
associations and stata stores, and holding public hearings.
